Spheric World Generation c#

Hello, I'm trying to make an algorithm to generate a Spherical World at random (a different one each time). I have a plan but I have no idea how to put it into a script :(. [1]So the plan is I start off with a plain sphere (With a TON of polygons). Then I generate really soft noise all around the sphere. [2]Then... I separate the sphere into LOTS of chunks.[3]It will run each chunk through a random generation algorithm. I can code [3] perfectly but not [1] and [2]. An answer would be really appreciated.
